The BasicStar2 is a depower single skin kite, without air chambers on the tips and without profile & diagonal ribs on the sail surface. This guarantees the fastest air distribution on the underside of the kite, so that a stable bow shape is formed immediately when the BS2 is launched.
This design feature achieves remarkable dimensional stabilityand remains extremely stable even in gusty wind conditions.
4 wide air half-pipes with V-lines define the wing profile, so that a flutter-free flight is achieved when powered, which continues during the depower process.
The enlarged and reinforced leading edge and modified outline of the BS2 is largely responsible for the excellent flow formation on the kite, with flexible nylon stiffening being installed in the nose ribs.
A continuous polypropylene leash on the trailing edge ensures optimal tension distribution when powering on and steering the BS2.
The BasicStar2 can be excellently steered when powered- and depowered without getting tired from high holding forces.
Loops can be flown either via tip rotation or center rotation.
The aspect ratio of 4.0 guarantees a larger wind window, which can be used to advantage for landboarding, snowkiting, buggy driving, etc.
The BasicStar2 is preferably flown with a depower control bar as a 4-line, with the highest level of safety being achieved via the safety line on the side. Optionally, a 4,5-line bar can also be used.
The BasicStar is delivered in a practical soft bag as "KITE only".
